State of the Hiring Markets
2006 proved to be an excellent period in the hiring markets with all four quarters showing promise in terms of career opportunities. Overall, the year was balanced in terms of a high level of recruiting interest across all industry sectors at all sizes of organizations, from pre-IPO to the mega-cap companies. Once again our clients demonstrated that highly focused and thoughtful hiring was the primary recruitment strategy for the second year in a row.
Looking ahead, 2007 appears to be starting with the same level of commitment and interest in talent as last year, with a particular focus by hiring executives on calculated, strategic growth of their functions. As we navigate the first quarter of the New Year in partnership with our clients and our talent, we hope to glean further insights into the economy as it impacts hiring and into leadership hiring trends for the coming year.
